The Downfall of Boris Johnson

BBC Panorama for BBC One

The Edit Store have post produced an exclusive Panorama, documenting The Downfall of Boris Johnson. Presented by Laura Kuenssberg, the report forensically analyses Boris Johnson’s political career and the catalysts that led to his resignation as PM.
Post Producers Ellie Stanway and Anna Norqvist managed the project from conception to delivery, ensuring the multiple offline edits had all material to hand whilst also making and co-ordinating contingency plans to cover all possible scenarios to ensure delivery.

With a tight schedule, the experienced creative team at Edit Store achieved the delivery with clear communication throughout while using bespoke workflows. Footage from various news sources was fed directly into multiple offline edit suites whilst Online Editor Dom McMahon worked through the finishing process, applying colour correction, image restoration/enhancement and graphics throughout. These elements were then stitched together to make a complete sequence that continued to be updated to the wire.

Simultaneously to the online process, updates were shared with the Audio department.
Senior Dubbing Mixers Andy Sears and Nick Ashe split the tracklay and premix whilst the VO was recorded. Following sign off, Andy merged the two pieces of audio for the final mix of the programme.

This exclusive Panorama, delivered to the BBC just 3 hours before transmission, captured the political storm sweeping the nation.
